About the Job
female, mid to late 40's range (ideally this person will already have a short haircut (or be willing to get one) so that we can put her in a wig for the initial scenes and then see her with short hair. NOTE - this is not a buzzed/bald situation. The clients will want to see her at the END of her cancer journey at the end of the spot, looking healthy and on her way back to her usual life. Please note that we're also casting a MALE partner to portray the patient's spouse, so if your partner is an actor or comfortable on camera, we may ask you to submit an audition together. * First scene, the female patient is with her partner in her doctor's office and we see them physician delivering news of a cancer diagnosis, it's a heavy moment for both of them, physician is walking through next steps with confidence and comfort, next scene we see her at a pharmacy counter getting prescriptions and talking through them with the pharmacist, next scene she is in chemo with a nurse who is checking in with her during the infusion, final scene we see the woman who has short hair but looks fairly healthy (we are not going full headscarf, pale, etc...) as she has COMPLETED treatment and she arrives at a gathering of her girlfriends (book club, wine night vibes), and they all look so happy to see her and thrilled to see she has shown up * No set dialogue, driven by VO
