A Dominican woman in her 20s, she’s hustling to build her own haircare brand as a way out of financial struggle and emotional burnout. Witty and skeptical of smooth talkers, Maria wants love, but only if it doesn’t cost her independence or dreams. Film Synopsis “Love, Lies & Mojitos” is a romantic dramedy set in Miami, following Maria Morales, a driven young entrepreneur building her own beauty brand, and Alex, a smooth-talking charmer whose confidence hides secrets. When their lives collide in Wynwood, a chance encounter turns into unexpected chemistry, forcing Maria to question whether love is a distraction or part of her journey forward.
