About the Job

WE ARE CASTING A DOG, NOT A CHILD!!!! Meet Rex, the world’s smartest but cynical dog, who doesn’t mind throwing you a little stink eye for your four-legged digs. Rex lives with a family in the suburbs, the Vanillas. They’re nice and all, but kind of boring. So, Rex got a job in the office to cut up his day and to eventually pay for an upgraded doghouse (with a built-in bidet). He LIVES for the office gossip and is currently working on a screenplay based on the drama called Barking Up the Wrong Tree. We’ll need an advanced search for casting, looking for trainers with dogs who are down with the glasses look and who can give a realistic (and funny) side eye. We’ll need to know on a prelim tape that the dogs are executing the tricks and gags we’re looking for. It’s less about the breed and more about the best dod performning who gives us the heartiest laugh, wins. All dogs look hilarious in glasses, but some especially so. PLEASE SEE PICTURES AS REFERENCE
