About the Job
RODNEY (Late 20s-Mid 30s) is a thoughtful, conflicted man caught between the life he's been living and the life he wants. On the surface, he's charming, affectionate, and deeply in love with his girlfriend, Eva. Beneath that, he's struggling with pressure, loyalty, and fear as he becomes increasingly entangled in dangerous choices influenced by his closest friend. Rodney is not hardened, he's human. His arc requires emotional accessibility, subtle internal conflict, and the ability to convey tension without overplaying it. The role involves intimate, conversational scenes, moments of warmth and humor, as well as escalating anxiety and moral reckoning. This performance relies heavily on grounded realism and emotional restraint. This is a principal role with significant screen time and emotional range.
