River is the charming, conflicted son of the town's mayor who has spent his life molding himself into the "Golden Boy" everyone expects him to be, suppressing parts of himself that don't fit the image. Beneath his megawatt smile and easy charisma lies a young man paralyzed by the pressure of public expectation and terrified of disappointing his parents during an election year. He is genuinely kind but has learned to prioritize appearances over authenticity, a pattern that causes him to hurt the people he cares about most. River is bisexual and has harbored feelings for Kit since childhood, though fear and self-preservation have kept him from acting on them until now. His journey requires him to dismantle the protective walls he's built and discover that vulnerability and honesty are their own forms of courage. *Male talent must be comfortable being shirtless, and with on-camera intimacy including passionate kissing and implied sex. An intimacy coordinator will be present for all levels of intimacy. Additionally, there will be some light action work in which River punches Darius in the jaw and nose. A stunt coordinator will be present.
