Are you part of a modern, contemporary family living a vibrant city or suburban life—plugged into pop culture and enjoying all the creature comforts of today’s world: technology, conveniences, restaurants, and busy work schedules? But do you also have relatives who’ve traded all of that to live off the grid or deep in the wilderness—growing their own food, hunting, fishing, and embracing a traditional, self-sustaining lifestyle? If so, and you’ve ever wondered what it would really be like to join them (even for a short time), we’d love to hear from you. An acclaimed production company and a major cable network are casting a bold, premium documentary series that follows a truly off-grid, self-reliant family living a traditional, sustainable lifestyle—far from modern conveniences—and their real, modern-day relatives who live a contemporary city or suburban life and are curious (or even skeptical) about what it would be like to experience off-grid living firsthand. We’re looking for authentic families across North America with real relationships, real contrast, and strong personalities, where both sides are open to sharing their lives on camera as these two worlds come together in an honest, fun, and eye-opening series. This is a paid documentary series seeking REAL off-grid families and their REAL relatives—this is not a scripted project and we are not hiring actors. Open to referrals as well!
