About the Job
We’re looking for actors capable of subtle, naturalistic performances. People you’d cast in an A24 horror film. The performances need to carry paranoia without exaggeration. The feeling that something bad is about to happen. The characters must feel credible and relatable. They should feel like someone the audience could be, not someone distant or stylized. CHARACTER DESCRIPTION: A California frat boy. He’s aspirational, yet vulnerable. He subscribes to the manosphere culture, but is not fully insulated by it. On the surface, he’s the life of the party: strong, magnetic, seemingly unshakable. But underneath, he’s an introvert with social anxiety, working hard to maintain his armor. When he becomes a human test subject, his sense of control collapses. Through subtle facial performance alone, he conveys discomfort, fear and unexpected tenderness. The viewer ultimately empathizes with him.
