Isabel and Alex were once very close and tiptoeing around their feelings for one another. When his father dies, Alex blames Isabel for his father's death and turns on her. Despite his anger and hurt, he still has feelings for Isabel. After graduation, he leaves town to never see Isabel again. Years later, he learns that she died and he never knew.
