About the Job
Although Max is a bit of a performer himself- a real character- Max’s employee is an average guy. Unpolished, a lived-in face, authentic looking person. He isn’t a performer. Think Hannibal Burress on the Eric Andre show or Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite. The comedy comes from the contrast between Max Corn, a sweet, little hamster trying to be entertaining, and this guy: Someone who’s a bit aloof and just doing his job. The kind of person that doesn’t often formulate full, concise thoughts or opinions and just goes about his day.
