Michael is a city commuter heading to work. He is driven, capable, and clearly on his way somewhere. He works in a demanding, professional role and carries himself with purpose, but he’s not insulated from everyday inconvenience. He’s doing well, but he’s still young; he’s ambitious, not flashy. He moves fast and thinks ahead, so missing the train genuinely throws him, but he recovers quickly. His frustration is brief and contained, giving way to a quieter moment of perspective. The shift should feel internal and human, not comedic or exaggerated. Michael should feel contemporary and credible in an urban California setting: polished enough to suggest a high-pressure job, but grounded and approachable. His interaction with the coffee vendor should feel natural and easy, revealing a person who can slow down when the moment asks him to.
