Mr. Chris is a corner-store manager who weaponizes authority in a job that doesn’t warrant it. He hovers, polices behavior, and keeps scorem literally framing Luca’s “mistakes” as “strikes.” He’s the kind of bully who stays calm while doing damage: passive-aggressive, controlling, and smugly performative in front of customers. He doesn’t want a good employee; he wants obedience.
