About the Job
Karen is outspoken, entitled, and confidently wrong. She believes rules apply to everyone else and is never afraid to demand a manager, escalate a minor inconvenience into a full-blown meltdown, or deliver passive-aggressive comments with a smile. Her behavior is over-the-top but grounded enough to feel uncomfortably familiar, making the lesson land. Actors should have strong comedic timing, expressive reactions, and the ability to shift quickly between faux politeness and explosive outrage. Improvisation skills are a plus. The goal is not to villainize, but to use humor and heightened performance to clearly illustrate how not to behave, ultimately reinforcing empathy, accountability, and self-awareness.
