About the Job

About the Job

Physical: Tall, muscular build from years of smithing work. Germanic/Noricum heritage -- possibly blonde or light brown hair, strong features. Practical clothing, leather apron, perpetually has soot or ash on her skin. Scarred hands and forearms from the forge. Pretty, but in a tough way that radiates competence and strength. Background: From Noricum (famous for steel production), captured during a border conflict and enslaved. Learned smithing from a fellow slave, became so skilled she earned her freedom. Germanic women were noted by Romans as taller and more "warlike." Now the best blacksmith in the region, she forges and maintains weapons for Lucilla's gladiators. Has ties to rebels and secretly forges illegal weapons on the side for uprisings in Roman controlled territories. Motivation: Maintain her hard-won independence and craft. Becomes invested in the protagonists' weapons as extensions of her art. Arc: Chooses whether to stay neutral (survival) or pick a side (risk).
