Jakob is a brilliant neuroscientist who lives almost entirely inside his own head. His voice should be quiet, contained, careful, and precise—someone who thinks before every word and rarely raises his volume. There is a sense of being slightly on the spectrum: deeply intelligent, emotionally sincere, but struggling to fully process or express what he feels. When Jakob doesn’t understand something, it’s painful to hear—he desperately wants clarity, meaning, and connection, but often can’t quite reach them. A calm, restrained performance with a subtly deeper tone is ideal; think controlled intensity rather than overt emotion.
