40s-50s. This is probably the most important performance in the piece and requires the most emotion. It’s a grown man saying goodbye to his father in the hospital. That’s the setting it’s not really the “moment of goodbye” but more so the situation of goodbye, he’s been there for hours with him crying off and on, we’re catching just a glimpse of this time with them, he will have tears in his eyes maybe offering up a little bit of a smile through that pain as he talks with his dad.
