Sweet on the surface, but there’s a scary calm to her energy. Joyce tells a “workplace revenge” story that starts harmlessly but quickly turns dark. She’s the perfect mix of naive and psychotic — someone who brings cookies to a support group but may have poisoned them. Later, we discover she’s Pastor Harvey’s makeup artist — cheerfully powdering his face while delivering sinisterly chipper one-liners. Think Parks and Rec’s April Ludgate meets Desperate Housewives.
