About the Job
DEAN (15 years old, freshman, White American, LEAD) - Dean is the smartest jock you might ever meet. He unfortunately is just at the wrong school - one that doesn’t care about sports at all. As the captain of the football team, Dean feels like he should be getting afforded high school privileges that are just not present. He feels like he was born a generation too late. His father is extremely overbearing and a misogynist, which sometimes bleeds into Dean’s interactions with women. He has no idea how to talk to them and is secretly really insecure. We find out later in the season that he’s actually very interested in musical theatre, and has a great singing voice (would prefer if the actor can sing, no worries, if not).
