The daughter of a high-ranking Naicho intelligence officer in Tokyo whose death was officially labeled a robbery, she suspects he was assassinated. Brilliant, resourceful, and quietly intense, she has spent years uncovering dangerous truths tied to Cold War-era programs, genetic experimentation, and the manipulation of human lives. Her conflict is both personal and geopolitical: she is driven by love and loyalty to her father, but also by a moral conviction that the truth must be told, even at the risk of her own life. Akari moves between seductive tenderness and steel, between vulnerability and obsession.
