Character is portrayed as Male, early 20s, any race/ethnicity. Kurt is one of the commune’s more eccentric personalities — fiercely attached to the identity he has chosen for himself. When Astrid notices his tattoo of ‘KURT’ being inked, he insists that it isn’t just a name but his new name, one he has deliberately claimed for himself. For Kurt, it represents ownership over his body and his path. That determination, however, is undermined when the tattooist slips, leaving him branded with the crude misspelling “K.U.N.T.” instead of Kurt. The incident becomes a running joke among the others, a humiliation that he reacts to with frustration and defensiveness. Kurt’s intensity and sensitivity highlight his struggle between the self-image he tries to project and the ridicule he fears. Surf experience a plus. Must be able to swim and be comfortable in open water. Please advise if your actor is under option/contract to another network, that will require a release to shoot RED BLUFF. Preferencing WA BASED ACTORS- but we are happy to accept submissions Aust WIDE. This role is require for days across the shoot period Jan-June 2026
