Guy Chachkes: If you hook them in, you’ll have to escalate the conflict in a very interesting way, and that is a very hard thing to do. But you have to keep the escalation, right? Into an ultimate resolution, which is number three. But, just keep escalating the conflict in the scene. Then number three on that is a payoff that is satisfying for them to watch. And that can be a line, that can be how it ends, that can be a cliff-hanger. But if you focus on the hook, the conflict and the eventual payoff in a very simple ways, then you’ll have a great scene that keeps them watching from beginning to end.
