How Has Casting Networks Helped Your Career?

We’re always looking to see what success stories arise from those who are using Casting Networks, and we want to make sure that we’re doing our part in helping you achieve your acting dreams. We recently asked our community how Casting Networks has helped their acting careers, and here are some of our favorite responses:

Years ago I submitted to a post on Casting Networks about a role as a Big and Tall model for Target’s then-new Goodfellow and Co brand. Next thing I knew, I was out in New York for the shoot, and then shortly afterward when the campaign came out, it was displayed in every Target store. This helped me to eventually land a modeling agent.

I also submitted myself to a casting on Casting Networks for a movie that was using a code name at the time. Eventually, I landed the role and it turned out to be the movie [redacted]*, which I ended up winning a SAG Award for with the stunt ensemble.

I have received numerous audition requests from Casting Networks and have booked a few as well! It’s helped me organize all of my information, works in conjunction with my agent and is THE most helpful site I’ve found for locating potential roles and auditions. I can easily submit audition tapes and communicate with directors and casting directors through the site. I would recommend Casting Networks to any actor looking to book more work!

About 10 months ago, I decided I wanted to be an actor. Casting Networks gave me instant access to not only apply for gigs, but with the help of this trusted platform, I managed to self-book numerous commercials and TV gigs to help realize a dream. At 47 years old, this is no easy feat. Thank you, CN for creating tools for aspiring late bloomers and young actors alike to chase their vision.

During COVID I decided to re-enter the entertainment business as a model and actor because I was working from home and things were really slow. I actually stumbled upon Casting Networks and hesitated at first because of the monthly subscription. After viewing a few jobs that were really close to where I live, I decided to pay the monthly subscription. My thought was that I could easily cancel if I landed no jobs after paying for that month.

I’m so thankful I followed my gut because without taking any refresher acting classes, I landed an extra spot in a featured extra role in an ESPN commercial just 10 minutes from my home. That job paid for my CN membership for 10 months.

The following year I landed a principal role in a national/international commercial for L’Oréal Revitalift and they just re-signed our contract for another year! I don’t have to tell you how many years of subscription that will cover and everyone I know has congratulated me on a job well done. Thanks to CN I also got an agent!

The latest format of this very useful portal has streamlined my submission process and allows me to easily read through hundreds of casting notices tailored specifically to me. I have been able to book multiple commercial roles—without an agent or manager.

Furthermore, I can easily update my photos, videos, audio reels and new media with great ease!

I started this journey about three years ago at the age of 60. Casting Networks has provided me an opportunity to start a second career that is totally amazing. This platform allows talent at all levels opportunities to submit to castings, follow up with self tapes and land awesome jobs.

Applying for jobs, getting notifications for self tapes, etc. can’t be any easier. I get super excited when I get those media requests and of course that booking.

Casting Networks is essential because it serves as a centralized platform to manage my résumé and interact efficiently with agents and casting directors all in one place. It’s been pivotal in enhancing my career because it provides a professional framework and platform for industry presence, exposure and networking.

I’ve used Casting Networks since I first moved to LA in 2009, and it has helped my career immensely. I get to submit to jobs that are right for me, and my agent does, too! I love the perfectly matched emails and the ease of submitting through them.

I’ve booked many jobs in voice-over, acting, promo, background, etc. I’ll always use Casting Networks because I don’t know where I’d be without them.

It has helped push my profile [and I’m] getting noticed often. It has also helped me keep track of my profile, making sure it is up to date with newer content or current content as if I were on a social media platform.

My organizational skills have improved by keeping track of due dates periodically via virtual calendar (iCloud calendar) versus having to just write things down. My management skills have been consistent on daily tasks or scheduling, adding to being productive or on time.

Firstly, Casting Networks has supported me for many years. I have booked incredible dramas, films, short films and commercials over the years thanks to their professional platform for actors.

Everything a casting director needs to find out about you is right here and they make it easy to navigate the site. You can upload your latest showreel, headshots and personal information to help industry professionals find you. And their constant training has helped me keep my profile up to date. I would not have come this far without them!
