About the Job

A direct sales company is hosting their convention August 13-17th, 2025 in Greensboro, NC.
We are looking for an VOG/Hype professional, individual (male presenting) to announce presenters and winners as they come to stage and to also get out on stage and hype up the crowd at the beginning of session and throughout the day. The style we are looking for is WWE Announcer meets Awards Announcer. The onstage persona should be focused on the attendees and their experience, not a recognized celebrity or emcee of the event. The focus is heavily on the crowd and the excitement of the company’s values. This individual should also be comfortable with some improv, as they may be asked to announce last minute, unscripted announcements, or stall for a late presentation.
Schedule:
8/12 Travel
8/13 Rehearsal
8/14, 8/15, 8/16 Show/Conference (all day/early eve TBD)
8/17/25 Travel
Talent Specs:
Male presenting, no preference for ethnicity or age, professional looking. Provides own attire – not quite a suit but not business casual.
Should sound like the gravely voice of “Let’s Get Ready to Rumble” announcer – a MUST.
Should be comfortable being given a script and riffing or adlibbing in the moment to hype the crowd or interact with the crowd. Script will be a general “Please welcome to the stage….” and we would like him to bring excitement and personality to it. Also willing to make on the fly announcements if asked.
Primarily making announcements from offstage.
Comfortable going into an audience of 2900 attendees, reading the room and picking out fun individuals to speak to.
Required to hype the crowd on stage/in audience in the early morning prior to show starting – think of the audience hype person before a SNL/Sitcom filming.
