Benjamin is intelligent and perceptive, but as a teen, he becomes more withdrawn and restless. He often feels out of step with peers, leaning into his loner tendencies. While not overtly rebellious, there’s a simmering intensity beneath the surface — a mix of curiosity and frustration. To his dad, Brian, he still seemed like a good kid who was “different,” never realizing how those differences might evolve into something far more troubling.
