About the Job
Fueled by her grandmother's stories about the glitz and glamour of her time in the Silver age of Hollywood, Sarah is straight out of Nowheresville, Iowa, and determined to chase her own dream of stardom in the city of angels. But stardom doesn't come easy, and soon she learns the true nature of Hollywood, an industry built on exploitation and moral compromises. Just as she's ready to call it quits though, her knight in shining armor appears- but the man of her dreams isn't what she thinks he is, nor anything she ever imagined he could be.
Aconitum explores the very real themes of exploitation, harassment, and gaslighting that women experience in the entertainment industry daily, using them to tell a long-form supernatural horror story broken up into small bite-sized uploads on social media.
Unscripted, but following a carefully established story and scene outline, strong improv skills are desired. Shoot dates flexible depending on availability.
