Sachi
Sachi Y Bacha
About the Job
Sachi is the younger sister in the story — focused, disciplined, and deeply passionate about Salsa. She takes pride in practicing, perfecting her movements, and doing things “the right way.” Sachi is competitive in her own quiet, determined way, balancing her seriousness with moments of warmth and humor. Her rivalry with her older sister Bacha drives much of the play’s energy. While Bacha is bold and dramatic, Sachi is precise, thoughtful, and emotionally expressive, which creates a strong contrast between the two. She wants to win just as much as Bacha — she simply shows it differently. The actor playing Sachi should be comfortable with expressive emotion, comedic timing, and basic movement or light choreography. No professional dance training is required — choreography will be simple, taught during rehearsals, and focused more on personality than technique. This is a fun, heartfelt lead role for an actor who enjoys playing determined, lovable characters with a strong emotional arc.
