Backstory: Twenty years ago, to pay off gambling debts, Robert callously sent his own new wife, Olivia, to his boss Atticus's bed, subsequently blackmailing Atticus for a large sum of money. From that point on, he treated Olivia with utter contempt, viewing her as nothing more than a live-in maid. After winning the lottery, he grew increasingly brazen with his mistress, repeatedly humiliating Olivia himself and encouraging his lover to do the same in public. Upon discovering that Olivia had married his powerful former boss, he schemed to have his own sister pose as the woman from Atticus's past, claiming she was the one from the one-night stand twenty years earlier. In the end, he was brutally punished by Atticus for his crimes.
NOTE:***** Robert is verbally and physically abusive towards Olivia, including shoving and kicking her, and shares intimate scenes with his mistress (they are together in bed, disheveled, with Robert kissing her), before being brutally beaten by Atticus's men as his final punishment.
