About the Job
Lead role. Over 18 to play younger. 5 days of shooting. 5 days Jan 18-23 Not shorter than 5‘8“ or taller than 6‘4“; athletic build. Able to portray someone of Irish descent. Casey’s best friend — mischievous in his own way and often the loudest voice in the room. He masks insecurity with humor and deflection but senses when things are go-ing too far. Ricky thrives on the group’s chaos yet fears its collapse; beneath the sarcasm lies a need to belong — and a deep fear of being left behind. From a middle-class background, unlike most of his wealthy friends, he’s heavily influenced by his errant older brother, Max, with whom he lives alone. Torn between loyalty to his long-lost childhood friend Rodney and the lure of being accepted by the 'in-crowd.‘ Within the group, he’s the joker and the truth-teller — the one who sees the cracks forming before anyone else. • Admired by Casey — though Casey knows he might lose him to the larger world. • Close with Josh, but not as close as with Casey, his true leader. • Gets along with Babyface and Puz, though more by Casey’s design than his own; Casey’s the one who drew them all into the same orbit.
