Viral Youtube channel CUT is producing a new show where our fabulous drag queen gives your conservative family member a drag makeover. The goal isn’t to mock or create unnecessary conflict, but to spark empathy, open dialogue, and invite them to explore their own biases. Who we’re looking for: Someone who is young liberal/queer/or even getting into drag themselves. We want you to invite your family member for a drag experience they will never forget. Again this is a fun and heartfelt segment so while we want a parent with more conservative/right-leaning views but open minded enough to at least try this. We would love the more liberal/queer family member to come and support their conservative parent/relative doing the drag experience through the process. Maybe you grew up conservative but are now liberal and want your parents to understand people more than their fox news has taught them. NOT looking for hateful people, more people who just don't understand it/may not fully support it but have never met a drag queen in real life. Open-minded enough to step into an unfamiliar experience. If this sounds like you or your family member. Then we are super interested. Please let me know a little more about you in the submission note (eg a liberal/queer son/daughter who wants their parent to see/understand/empathise their new/growing world view). Please ask the other person first so we don't waste anyone's time. It will air on the viral youtube channel CUT that has 14 million followers and will be a respectful, thoughtful and fun segment hoping to foster more understanding across the political divide. It will likely film in Los Angeles or Seattle but we don't have a date set. All travel and costs will be paid for and there will be a fee of $500 paid to you for participating.
