About the Job

Every actor in this one-act play will play two (2) roles. Most roles are of either an incarcerated individual or of a detention officer. This character should appear to be 40 to 50 years old. The first role is POET # 4, whoo recites a poem about a fellow inmate who has recently passed and how no one will ever really know the hell that he went through in prison. The second role is LEO, a very emotional prisoner who has lost his entire family while he has been behind bars. It is hard for him to not give up, but he explains that he must survive or die.
