About the Job

Every actor in this one-act play will play two (2) roles. Most roles are of either an incarcerated individual or of a detention officer. This character should be in his mid 50's to even early 70's. The first character is POET #3, who recites a poem of how though he is incarcerated, he remains free inside himself. The second role of the OLDER MAN tells the story of when he was young and met a wonderful friend who was terminally ill. This story has kept him alive all of these years while in the prison system. Very emotional.
