About the Job

Every actor in this one-act play will play two (2) roles. Most roles are of either an incarcerated individual or of a detention officer. This character is in her late twenties to early thirties. The first role is of MICHELLE, a young woman who has been in prison for 6 years. She tells the audience of how much she misses her children and family. And, through the grace of God how she will see them in the very near future with her release. The second role is NURSE JENKINS, a hospice nurse who works within the prison with the terminally ill. She makes the men in this area die in peace through her consoling and passionate ways.
