Once a member of a successful youth-oriented music group, she was removed following a very public breakup and fallout that played out across tabloids and entertainment media. Since then, Makayla has struggled to regain control of her image. She remains constantly in the headlines, frequently associated with the party scene and industry controversy. The television network that launched her career has since cut ties, and record labels are hesitant to work with her due to her reputation. Now largely shut out of the mainstream industry, this competition represents one of Makayla’s last real opportunities for a comeback.
