About the Job
We are seeking an actor to read the role of Maggie, mid 40s–50s, Nic’s overbearing but compassionate Cuban mother. Having sacrificed everything to afford Nic a college education and a chance at a safe, stable life, she now struggles with the heartbreak of realizing she cannot convince him to want those things for himself. Warm, strong-willed, and deeply emotional, Maggie carries both the weight of sacrifice and the fierce love of a mother determined to protect her son. This is for a table read only, not final casting, and the actor will be credited for their participation and considered for casting once pre production begins.
