About the Job
Age: 9-12yrs (pre puberty) Mexican American (open to other latino ethnicities) Louie is the film’s protagonist battles economic hardship and a dysfunctional family while preparing for his first youth football season. He is skinny, ambitious, determined, and fearless. He signs himself up for pop warner football in the hopes that his dad might be more present. In the end, he’s unable to bring his parents together and has to fight tooth and nail to get his equipment in order. Fortunately. he’s able to find some comfort in the presence of his older brother, Junior. Despite his constant teasing Junior is there for him when he needs someone.
