The Stalwart Batter Mid-50s and still turning up every night, Mick takes his opening stance with the same focus he had twenty years ago. He’s his club’s storyteller, quick with a dry joke and the beginnings of a well-earned belly, but he never lets it get in the way of his swing. When the bowler runs in, he’s all business, determined to show the younger players he’s still got it.
