About the Job
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Host, co-host or otherwise moderate Sideshow content online - both livestreamed and pre-recorded - in an engaging, entertaining and most importantly authentic manner. Programming formats include, but are not limited to:
o Interviewing Sideshow staff, Sideshow distribution partners, celebrities, influencers, artists and other guests, creating insightful and captivating conversations
o Engaging with the community audience to inform and answer questions; craft a genuine connection through mutual fandom; and evolve Sideshow’s online presence as a polished, friendly, authentic and clever premium lifestyle brand for pop culture fans
o Presenting Sideshow’s products (and those of our partners, such as Hot Toys) in an interesting, respectful and charming manner – with honest and natural pop culture passion
Skills & Qualifications
• The ability to self-educate/research and otherwise stay current with pop culture news and industry trends, specifically in relation to collectibles
• Actively maintain at least three core fan competencies in genres such as superheroes, fantasy, sci-fi, gaming (both digital and physical), anime, action/adventure, horror and/or cult classics
• Strong but diverse communication skills; The ability to communicate with a wide range of personalities with ease
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
• Have experience in customer service, hospitality, sales or other related industries
• Bring a vibrant personality, anchored in genuine, long-standing personal fandom
• Professionalism: Capable of separating personal opinions from professional obligations without sacrificing authenticity
