Groomed to seek the attention of men while also taught to fear them and how to protect one’s self from their violent tendencies, Charlotte is wary at first of finding herself alone with Max. Though she enjoys talking to Max at school and their conversations seem innocent enough, Charlotte doesn’t know whether she should accept Max’s invitation to study at his house. Charlotte is the object of Max’s desire but she is also a three-dimensional autonomous human being inside a society that is helping shape her perception of the reality around her. Talent must be comfortable with intense material and portraying a situation of violence against her. This actor will work closely with an intimacy coordinator, the Director and their scene partner to navigate a twisting and intimate scene with vulnerability, open communication and clear boundaries.
