Atticus
Atticus and Olivia
About the Job
Age: 45 (with a visual age of 40). As the saying goes, "A Ferrari ages, but it's still a Ferrari"—he is the older, refined version of a domineering CEO.
Persona & Demeanor: Atticus carries an aura of aristocratic aloofness and controlled power, a man accustomed to commanding every situation. He initially believes Olivia is merely the fake bride his assistant hired online. However, as he gets to know her, he finds himself genuinely falling for her, drawn to her resilience, gentleness, and courage. He falls deeply in love with her long before discovering she was the woman from his one- night stand twenty years ago.
Backstory: To appease his mother, Atticus tasked his assistant with finding a temporary girlfriend online, which led to his unexpected marriage to Olivia. Witnessing the kind and hardworking Olivia being bullied by her ex-husband's family, he repeatedly steps in to help her. Initially, he concealed his powerful identity to facilitate a clean divorce later. But through their daily interactions, he is disarmed and deeply moved by Olivia's gentle and sincere nature, ultimately willing to lay down his pride and even cook for her.
Note:***** Atticus shares a closing wedding kiss with Olivia and orchestrates violent retaliation against her abusers, but he is never physically or verbally abusive towards her. Verbal Confrontation: He speaks to them sternly and uses his authority. Delegation: He orders his assistant, Henry, or his bodyguards to handle the situation (e.g., having Henry slap Amelia, having bodyguards remove them). Indirect Action: He uses his power to financially or professionally ruin them (e.g., getting them blacklisted, forcing them to pay for a broken vase). The most direct physical action Atticus takes against a woman is when he shoves Amelia aside to get to Olivia and help her up after she was forced to kneel. This is an act of intervention, not aggression toward Amelia herself.*****
