Abuela is the matriarch figure in Amor y Muerte. She introduces the central figure of Santa Muerte, and presents the protagonist with her path towards revenge or forgiveness. She's the first person we see and hear in the film, setting the stage for everything to come. We're looking for a stern, grandmotherly figure who can start us off strong.
