AICP, Film Florida and the State of Georgia Release Guidelines to Resume Production

Casting Networks

In recent weeks, the industry has shown signs of increased activity with individual states and organizations releasing guidelines and recommendations to safely reopen production during the COVID-19 pandemic. As casting directors and talent representatives are critical players in the production process, we want to keep you up-to-date on the latest guidelines.

Commercial Productions

AICP (Association of Independent Commercial Producers) has published workplace guidelines that consider the health and wellness of all individuals involved with commercial productions. The complete guidelines can be found here.

Film Florida Recommendations

Last month, Film Florida released the first guide to ensuring clean and healthy sets in the U.S. The detailed recommendations include both on- and off-set protocols, including casting guidelines that call for remote casting sessions whenever possible.

Georgia Best Practices

Last week, Georgia became the first state to issue a comprehensive best practices guide for film and television production. With some productions slated to restart as soon as early July, Georgia’s guidelines were developed in cooperation with local studios and production companies.

Upcoming California Announcement

While Governor Gavin Newsom was expected to announce California’s guidelines for restarting film and television production earlier this week, he indicated on Tuesday that his recommendations are coming soon amid ongoing industry and labor discussions.
