About the Job

This role is for the male partner in a relationship. The boyfriend is a cool and upbeat young professional, interacting on a weekend with his girlfriend in a fun and casual manner. In one scene, he will show her how to prepare a meal but cutting or mixing ingredients with her, describing the process of what he's doing so she can follow along. In another scene, he will be surprising the girlfriend by bringing her to a private music performance with a live band, so he'll be walking her into the space, and chatting with her as she is happily surprised. There will be a few other short moments capturing everyday lifestyle moments of the couple (examples: potting a plant in the back yard, playing a board game, checking out the view on the balcony). This character should be able to improvise conversationally in these scenes, as they should feel unscripted and real. This role will also require the actor to wear a POV camera, so we are seeing through their perspective - this means good body awareness is essential to control the camera movements without unnecessary motion/jitter as in essence they are also the camera operator for the scenes.
