Dr. Emily Thorne is assigned to observe Subject 37, a psychiatric patient who becomes lucid for exactly two minutes and fourteen seconds every day at 3:17 p.m. When the patient claims that the hospital is an experiment and everyone inside is being watched, Emily initially dismisses the warning until the building, its staff, and even her reflection begin changing around her.
