Storyline: After her estranged, recovering alcoholic mother dies in what appears to be a tragic carbon monoxide accident, Ruth Houseman begins uncovering evidence that the death was anything but accidental. As she investigates a decades-old disappearance tied to her mother's high school lacrosse team, she discovers a conspiracy reaching into the present, where those connected to the long-buried secret are dying one by one in carefully staged "accidents." With the police unconvinced and danger closing in, Ruth must uncover the truth before she becomes the next target.
