About the Job
Peter, our main character, was once passionate about painting, but since has fallen to a state where he enjoys it no longer. He truly feels joy in privately drawing with chalk, but every time he tries to, his boss gets in the way. Throughout the course of the story, he gets angrier and angrier that he doesn’t want to paint, and isn’t allowed to do make art the way he wants. Eventually, he has to learn to firmly separate himself from James and become his own person.
