About the Job
Alessandra is the emotional embodiment of stability in Ripple. She is not the glamorous fiancée chasing status or wealth. She already grew up with comfort, love, and security. Unlike several other characters, she is not trying to escape her past—she is trying to recreate it. Her greatest desire is remarkably simple: To build the same loving family she grew up in. What makes Alessandra tragic is that she mistakes Adrian’s kindness and sophistication for emotional availability. She sees the goodness in him that genuinely exists, but she never realizes that he is carrying emotional wounds that prevent him from fully committing to the life she imagines. She isn’t deceived because she’s naïve. She’s deceived because she believes people mean what they say.
