About the Job
Elliot should carry the same core spirit: curious, bright-eyed, a little mischievous, and deeply bonded with his mom. He’s confident enough to run off with friends, but still sweet enough to ask his mom if she’s coming. This role needs actors with strong nonverbal emotional range. So much of the story lives in tiny moments: holding a hand, letting go, looking back, pretending not to need Mom, then needing her anyway. Elliot should never feel overly sentimental or precocious. He’s just a real kid growing up, one park day at a time.
