Pregnant by a Demon is a 25–30 minute mockumentary comedy about a dysfunctional Mexican-American family living in a Los Angeles trailer park, where everyday family chaos collides with supernatural disaster. When sixteen-year-old Cris discovers she is pregnant, her ex-stripper mother Carmen tries to keep the family together while her eccentric grandmother Rosa, who believes she is a real witch, accidentally sells Cris’s boyfriend’s soul to a demon. As possession, immigration issues, family secrets, black magic, and documentary cameras close in around them, the family must somehow survive each other — and possibly stop Cris’s unborn child from becoming the demon’s gateway into the human world. At its heart, the series is a comedy about a family that argues nonstop, throws sandals instead of solving problems, and still sticks together when everything goes to hell — literally.
