Alyssa
"partners" Rom-com Film Scene Demo 2026
About the Job
For as long as she can remember, Alyssa has always prided herself on being friendly and reliable, which made her plenty of friends in her mid-sized hometown. Alyssa's family also taught her the importance of fairness, and the value of applying and investing themselves in everything that they do. But while Alyssa knows that her upbringing has prepared her for college schoolwork and student jobs, she has no idea how let her fun, spontaneous side out around people other than her close friends. Not even Alyssa's new friend Abigail knows much about Alyssa's silly, goofy side. When Alyssa is paired with Drew for their college class group project, Alyssa is excited to be partners with such a mysterious, reserved guy. But when Drew informs Alyssa that he has no plans to do any substantive work on their project, Alyssa is infuriated. Their instructor, Mrs. Kelly, has a strong reputation for being an especially harsh grader, and Alyssa doesn't know what to do. However, when Drew shows up on the day of the project and devotes himself fully to their presentation, Alyssa begins to suspect that Drew's aloofness is just a defensive posture he adopts to keep himself from getting hurt. When course instructor Mrs. Kelly in impressed with their presentation tells Alyssa and Drew to present in front of the college psychology club, Alyssa's playful side wins out and she decides to use her her presentation with Drew in front of the club not only to teach Drew a lesson, but also to invite him to come out of his shell a little and just have some fun with her. Alyssa's friend from school Abigail and one of her friends from home Sarah help Alyssa make the club presentation an event that no one will forget ... especially not Drew.
