Adventurer W/ An Accent - Chicago

We are seeking a compelling on-camera host to lead one episode of an international travel documentary exploring the vibrant city of Chicago. The role is written as a global traveler discovering American culture, experiencing the city’s history, architecture, traditions, and people with genuine curiosity and authenticity. This is not a traditional presenter role. We’re looking for someone who feels emotionally present, naturally inquisitive, and believable as they uncover the soul of Chicago through observation, conversation, and lived experience. The Ideal Candidate: * Possesses genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for architectural history, design, and cultural traditions. * Is globally minded, culturally curious, and eager to engage with people from all walks of life. * Has a warm, authentic, and engaging on-camera presence. * Feels believable as someone experiencing Chicago for the first time, allowing the audience to discover the city alongside them. * Is comfortable asking thoughtful questions, listening, and reacting naturally rather than delivering information as an expert. * Appreciates art, architecture, history, food, and local culture, approaching each with wonder and respect. Rather than portraying a historian, architectural critic, or travel expert, this host should embody the perspective of an intelligent global explorer - someone discovering the stories, traditions, neighborhoods, and iconic landmarks that define Chicago’s rich cultural identity. Requirements: * Must speak fluent English with an authentic, identifiable foreign accent. * Must be comfortable filming aboard boats and helicopters, with no fear of heights. * Must be confident walking, exploring, and filming throughout Chicago in a variety of environments. * Previous hosting or on-camera experience is preferred but authentic personality and presence are the highest priority. We’re looking for someone whose curiosity feels real, whose reactions are genuine, and whose sense of discovery invites audiences around the world to experience Chicago through fresh eyes.
