The Audition is a transgressive dark comedy pilot following Kia, a talentless but stubbornly self-believing actor, who is pushed by his brother-slash-agent Daniel to stop auditioning and instead produce his own material. Pitching a script that turns out to be a deliberately terrible bit they wrote as teenagers, the pair careen through a gauntlet of Hollywood gatekeepers — a fired UTA agent, a smug staff writer, and a strung-out con man posing as a producer — while their feuding tears the brothers apart. As a stray script page sends an unhinged fast-food employee on a murderous spiral that converges on a house party, the brothers are forced to reconcile amid the chaos and recommit to their doomed creative dream.
